Garbage Bin Robot Appears at Shinjuku Station, Automatically Patrols Inside Ticket Gates

East Japan Railway Company (JR East) announced on September 4 that it will conduct a demonstration experiment of an autonomous “mobile garbage collection robot” in the concourse inside the ticket gate on the basement level of Shinjuku Station. The robot will patrol the concourse and collect garbage on weekdays from September 8 to November 20.
