Japan IT Week Spring 2026: New Collaboration Opportunities Between Japanese and Pakistani ICT Companies

At Japan IT Week Spring 2026, held at Tokyo Big Sight in April 2026, the Pakistan Pavilion created numerous opportunities for dialogue and business discussions between Japanese companies and Pakistani ICT firms.

The pavilion brought together Pakistani companies offering solutions in a wide range of fields, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, AI agent development, cloud technologies, blockchain, rapid prototyping, and AI-enabled digital marketing. Participating companies introduced their technical capabilities and development models in response to Japanese companies’ needs for operational efficiency, AI adoption, digital transformation, and new service development.

The discussions went beyond general information exchange. Many visitors explored practical possibilities for proof-of-concept projects, agile small-scale development, AI implementation support, and other project-based collaborations. Japanese participants expressed interest in the breadth of AI-related capabilities presented by Pakistani companies and in the opportunity to identify potential partners with whom they could begin through focused validation projects.

For the Pakistani companies, the event also offered valuable insight into the strong interest among Japanese businesses in AI utilization and their need for dependable, long-term technology partners. The conversations initiated at the exhibition demonstrated the potential to develop into concrete collaborations, including PoCs, joint development initiatives, and service implementation projects.

This case highlights the value of beginning Japan–Pakistan collaboration with a clearly defined business challenge, a pilot project, or a prototype. Pakistani ICT companies can offer Japanese businesses specialized expertise in advanced technologies, flexible development capabilities, and experience working in English in international business environments.

PSEB will continue to promote mutual understanding between Japanese companies and Pakistani ICT firms and support new co-creation opportunities through business matching tailored to the needs and objectives of both sides.
